Lento Club
Lento means slow.
Why we
started.
Lento started as a joke in October 2025. The three of us, Marti, Gonza and Marcus, were deep in training for Hyrox races and marathons, and we were sick of doing every session on our own.
We had watched the run clubs in Oslo fill up their streets every week and thought Stavanger deserved the same thing. Just done our way. No pace test at the door, no clique at the front, and coffee afterwards that actually matters.
In November we posted about a social run together with Joe & The Juice. Thirty people turned up!
Thirty people came to the first one. It was so much fun.

They came from every pace, every level, every life situation. That was the whole point, and it still is: a run where nobody is too slow, too new or too old, and where nobody is left behind.
So we kept going. Every week since, for one simple reason. We want people to feel the same thing we do about training, and to feel it together.
Where we are now.
280 km for
mental health.
Then we did something that sounded stupid out loud: run all the way from Stavanger to Kristiansand. 280 kilometres of coast road, handed over between runners, through the night and into the next day.
Nobody in the club is a professional. That was the point. Some legs were fast, some were very slow, and every single kilometre counted the same.
We ran it for Mental Helse, and the club raised 35 000 kr along the way.
It is the clearest thing we have ever done to explain what Lento is. Slow is still moving, and a group of ordinary runners can cover an absurd distance if nobody gets left behind.
Nobody gets dropped here.
